Europe came back from behind to score a stunning victory over the U.S. team in the Ryder Cup yesterday. So it is perhaps no surprise that Nick Clegg was spotted giving David Cameron a little golf lesson in Downing Street this morning.

Clegg is famously pro-EU – he used to be a member of the European Parliament. And he is probably also hoping to tap into the euphoria surrounding our unexpected Ryder Cup victory. Afterall, it worked for Boris at the Olympics.
From a close-up of the photo, though, it looks like Cameron was not quite as keen to draw parallels between the Ryder Cup team’s victory and British politics.
Under par: But it looked like the Deputy PM was more into the game than his boss was
While the Deputy PM looks very focussed, it seems like his Tory boss is struggling to hold back his frustration as he shakes his fist behind Clegg’s back.
The photo has a very different dynamic to one taken of the pair only a couple of weeks ago. Cameron and Clegg were pictured riding a tandem bicycle. But the Prime Minister was very much in charge, his deputy even had his eyes closed as he was being steered around the street of Westminster.

Many of us will have thought that Clegg and Cameron should have more important things on their minds at the moment than cycling and golf. But perhaps it’s just a good thing that they at least seem to be talking to each other?
